Consider the following steps while exfoliating:

  1. First wash the area to be exfoliated with a soap or cleansing agent and pat dry.
  2. Then take a gentle scrubber with lukewarm water and massage skin gently.Using too warm water can dry and irritate skin
  3. You can now apply your exfoliating cream by using exfoliating tool or use your hands as well. Continue this for at least ten minutes.
  4. After this rinse your face with lukewarm water.
  5. Apply moisturizer to balance dryness.
  6. Exfoliation should not be done on daily basis unless you have an excessively oily skin.
  7. Also remember not to exfoliate too often in a very harsh manner.
  8. Choose the exfoliating agent with great care according to your skin type because scrub containing too harsh ingredients can over dry and irritate already dry skin.
